Yesterday was a gray day. The rainy kind, with thick fog that hides the sun. The kind with 98% humidity that makes the cold seep into your bones, that sets a fuzz over your eyes so you never quite feel like you’re fully awake.
On top of the weather, we’re wiped from cranking hard on our first board book at our illustration studio. The last 3 weeks have been real doozies, constantly cramming in after-hours work after our toddler goes to sleep, even on weekends. Hard galloping like that leaves you spent in every sense of the word, and especially prone to the kind of crabbiness that amplifies annoyances.
